Two weeks ago I got my olympus e-p2.
the moment i took my first shot i knew i had made the right decision to purchase it.

rejuvenated to have rediscovered a lost hobby, i've no intention of letting it slip away as it has before.
in an effort to keep my interest going, i've decided to go for a 365 photo project; taking (at least) one picture a day, and posting one here and a few other sites i keep updated, every single day for one whole year.

It's not a new project, it's been done by thousands before me. The original (if i'm not mistaken) was started by a guy on flickr, who challenged himself to take a self portrait every day for a year. Potential narcissistic ambition aside, this helped him develop his skills as a photographer and have a visual progress indication of his photography. But not to forget, a project such as this also serves as a daily journal of sorts, a visual reminder of the days that seem to pass by oh so quickly nowadays.

So here I am, at day 14 (well, 15 at this hour) of my personal 365 project, I've not limited myself to self portraits, rather, I try to capture a single  picture that will define my day, or otherwise anything  i think would be interesting to shoot.

Most importantly, photography is fun once more.

I've managed to encourage some of my friends to embark on their own 365 projects, and it's been such a joy to see what they've come up with, and the anticipation of seeing their next photo has its own charms

So to whomever actually reads my journal, i encourage you to try out your own 365 project, and it could be anything, not necessarily photography! Write a blog, a doodle-a-day, learn a new song every day, it's your choice! The important thing is to have fun, I guarantee after 365 days, you'll be amazed at what you've accomplished
